Info for Parents

Our mission is to inspire parents to be proactive about STEM education for their children at an early age.  Learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom.

Help your kids complete school assignments

Your child may be struggling with schoolwork but embarrassed to tell you. Volunteer to review assignments and discuss what needs to be done and how.

You can be a “homework project manager,” monitoring, organizing, motivating,

and praising the homework effort as it gets done.

Reading books with your kids

Reading with your kids can help forge a stronger relationship, giving them something to expect and look forward to. These shared experiences can be springboards to meaningful discussions, supporting vocabulary development, reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.

Further, reading helps to expose kids to various subjects and concepts, building their understanding of humanity and the world around them.

The importance of emotional support

If we teach kids how to do things, praise their efforts, focus on their strengths, and model the behaviors we want to see, they're more likely to succeed in school, at home, and with friends. Knowing you care, can be trusted, and are there for them cannot be overstated. Continuous demonstrations of emotional support encourage growth and development.
